Seth went to 1 NCAA in a decade. Buzz has back to back NCAA's in 4 years

Buzz and Seth took over equally crappy programs. Both were among the worst in the Power 5.

Seth started out with Bryant Matthews (1st Team All Big East) as a senior leader in year one and Carlos Dixon as a senior leader in year two. Buzz had, who, as a senior leader in those years? The answers are Christian Beyer and Will Johnston (Year 1) and Shane Henry (Year 2). WOW! Looks like both Seth and Buzz inherited the same bad situation...

Seth ALWAYS lost bad games at the start of the year. TERRIBLE losses. And in league play, Seth always had that 15-25 point loss to one of the worst teams in the ACC. He did that for a DECADE. Nine freaking years of losing to some dumpster fire of a BC team by 20 points at home after beating #1 Duke. Or getting crushed by a sub .500 NC State team at home by 20-30 points. THAT's why he NEVER went to the NCAA tournament.

Buzz hasn't lost a bad game in over two years. (Alabama State - That opening game the year Shane Henry was the big dog senior, leading the troops somehow to an NIT....) THAT's why we are in back to back NCAA's RIGHT NOW. Yeah, we've looked rough against some good teams after beating other good teams, but who doesn't? But we are a 4th year rebuilding program in its second consecutive NCAA tournament with only two seniors.

Did Seth do a great job for VT? Absolutely. Is he better than Buzz? Unequivocally not. If you say he is, you must just be a littly salty right now about something that is clouding your judgment.
