Agreed, for the most part

But we don't absolutely have to be in the same conference with texas. The RRSO was an Out of Conference game long before the Big 12 formed, and could be again depending on how the chips fall. But either way, it's a rivalry game that will never go the way of texas/A&M or the Border War.

Fortunately, we have Nebraska scheduled for a couple of future home-and-homes. We'll see them in a few years in 2021-22, and then again in 2029-30. It's not ideal, but I can handle playing them at least a handful of times every decade or so.

We probably won't know which way OU is 'officially' leaning in regards to conference alignment for a few years yet. But whoever they hire as President Boren's replacement this year may be a good starting point for conjecture. A former academic? Assume B1G or PAC. A former athletic director? Assume SEC. A former (Oklahoma) politician? Assume we're still tethered to OSU. Someone from entirely outside the state of Oklahoma? Assume no ties to OSU.
