Has anyone ever done a revenue per student analysis? I'm curious...


Let's say conference A makes $100M / yr and conference B makes $200M per year. Let's say both conferences have 10 teams, but conference A's average enrollment per school is 10K students, while conference B averag is 20K students.

Then, dollars per student would be:
Conference A = $1,000
Conference B = $1,000

So, while conference B got twice as much per school, they really got the same amount per student. I'm wondering with the Big 10 if the $ per student is actually far more comparable. Realistically, should we expect a conference with smaller enrollment schools like WF, BC, Miami, etc, to get as much as the Big 10 which probably has a much higher average enrollment and alumni base?

This might really highlight how teams like WF, BC, Miami, etc disproportionally benefit, as payments are made per school... not per student who is getting educated :)
