DC, NY, CLT, ATL. Places where there is something outside of the arena to look forward to.

I could not care less about tailgating in G'boro.

While you note that it is expensive to go to for alumni of the various schools, all of the cities mentioned above have large alumni bases in each.

And I have no doubt that many in the alumni base can't afford to go....but there are obviously a great deal that can.
