When you have 330+ teams competing, what is a "fair" way


to determine the Top 96 teams? Otherwise you could end up with a similar situation in college football where the data excludes a team from a mid-major conference from the tournament. If that is the route college basketball is heading, then might as well create 2 NCAA Tournaments; 1 for the power conferences and 1 for the mid-majors.
