I think the NIT lost a lot of its prestige when the NCAA bought


the tournament. FWIW mid-majors are the only teams eligible to compete in the CIT. If you were a player on a mid-major team, then you wouldn't find the CIT appealing?

I can understand why the CBI isn't appealing to you. The CBI accepts any team willing to pay the $50K entry fee even teams with losing records. Even this year's tournament has participants with a losing record; North Texas (15-17), UT-Rio Grande Valley (15-17), Miami OH (16-17), and New Orleans (15-16). There is something "wrong" about a postseason tournament that gives "at-large" bids to teams with a losing record.
