I agree. If not for the "elevation rule", clearly a charge. But...


the way the rule was explained all season, once a player is in the air, a defender is not allowed to slide in front of him. Even if that defender gets set before contact occurs.

I agree that the Bama player was definitely set at the moment he and 5 collided. However, I do not think he was set at the moment JRob's feet left the floor. Once a player is in the air, what is he supposed to do?
