you need to make an adjustment.
Over-helping and trying to deny paint touches is a generally sound strategy. But we gave up way too many easy, open threes to a player (Petty) that was not known as a great shooter coming in. At some point you have to make a switch and take that guy away- make someone else beat you. We never did. I'd rather give up 2 point layups than 3 pointers, if you have to choose.
