Style of play

You say that "everyone is convinced his style of play will not allow a run..." I'm sure there are a lot of people convinced of that, especially after last night's debacle. However, there have been many things before that have had everyone convinced that something couldn't be done where everyone has been proven wrong, including "style of play" arguments (as an example, in the early 90s, everyone was convinced that Nebraska could never beat Florida schools playing their antiquated brand of football...right before Nebraska won 3 National Championships in 4 years, with another near miss the year before that stretch began). I'm not saying that Bennett will win a NCAA Championship at some point, but the "everyone is convinced" argument about his style of play doesn't resonate. He has proven that he can beat quality competition with his style of play, it just hasn't translated into winning NCAA tournaments (it doesn't for most successful programs) and they suffered an embarrassing performance last night in game that they should win every time regardless of their style of play.

I'm happy with the direction of VT's program under Buzz, but if we didn't have Buzz and we could win a lot more games with a similar style to what Tony Bennett employs, I would gladly go for that option and enjoy the wins.
