A pushrod V8 is going to take a lot more abuse and perform at the same level for longer than anything with forced induction.

Having owned both, the Silverado is much easier to maintain if you are DIY. I also did not like the F150's interior quality- not the materials but the longevity of the attachment points. The door panels were very floppy after say 50,000 miles. That used to be Ford's only leg up on Chevrolet but Chevrolet reacted very well to criticism from the 90s and 00s.
