Why doesn't Cassell have a 1967 Elite 8 banner?


By comparison, our ladies' 1999 season says "SWEET SIXTEEN" under NCAA. On the men's side, our banner only says NCAA (as it would for this year also).

In '67, only 23 teams made the tournament - is that why? It's still the Elite Eight, no? Our program's best finish, according to the ESPN's scrolling info on all of the tournament teams, included "Elite Eight", FWIW.

Any ideas if this is an oversight (that we should fix/celebrate) or intended (for whatever reason)?
