OK State was the biggest surprise of the tournament.


They underperformed more than every other team. The fact that the ACC had two top 8 teams and the Big 12 had no teams in the top 10 was simply unbelievable. There were many people saying the Big 12 was close to the Big 10 in terms of overall quality of wrestlers, but I don't see it this year. The ACC REALLY needs to pick up some associate members for Wrestling like the Big 12 has done. If we could pick up 2 of Edinboro/Lock Haven/Cornell/Lehigh to go to 8 teams, the ACC would be a premier conference. We just don't have enough teams with 6 and I am not sure the ACC will be able to progress like we want unless we do add more teams. I hope there are at least discussions about this going on...would love to see it happen.
