When you're ahead, play like you're behind.


UMBC was the greatest example of this. When they got the big lead on UVA, they did not go into turtle mode and try to run out the clock on every possession. They kept doing the things that got them the lead- pushing the ball in transition, getting into the lane relentlessly, taking every open look they got from distance.

Especially in the ND game, and to a lesser extent in the Bama game, I think one of the reasons we blew leads is that we got out of our game and tried to become a halfcourt, milk the clock offense. Our guys do best when they are in attack mode.
