Why is an enamel DO better than a slow cooker? That's sort of like...


...asking why is a John Deer better than a Howitzer.

They're different items that do different jobs. I think the benefit of a dutch oven lies in it's versatility...you can cook just about anything, and use it on the stove or in the oven, or both for the same dish if you need to do that.

It's not really similar to a slow cooker in any way that I can see...
