If you're in the driver's seat, why bother limiting options? UT and OU realize they can let the collegiate landscape play out, and if/when there are better opportunities they can pursue them at that time. If you're a desired and eligible bachelor (let's say George Clooney), no need to make an immediate lifelong commitment when you can make that same decision and do just as well or better later. Not disturbing at all.
