I really thought this in an interview once BTW. First real one out of school. I knew an HR VP and got the interview through him. The first screener basically says, after 20 minutes of grilling ... "so, based on what you are looking for, we don't have any positions open at this time. Where would you like the interview to go from here?"

My natural response was some nonesense about keeping my resume on file, contacting me when the right position was available, etc. However, I was thinking ... WTF ... I know you have the job, why not just say I am not a fit (which I wasn't looking back on it). So when she said "where do you want this interview to go from here" ... my first instinct was to say ... "How about Sundries? They have a happy hour starting in about 90 minutes. Would you like to go have a few drinks? :)
