I turned 18 in 1980 and was a va resident.


I could buy liquor. The va state law changed that year and stair stepped the legal age. In 1981 you had to be 19, 1982 - 20, and 1983 was 21 for everyone.

Didnt matter too much to me because I preferred beer.
