People forget that Buzz does not have an agent; so to find out what the

'going rate' is he has to talk to another school or two to keep up with the market. That doesn't mean he is going to jump right now to another school. He is doing his due diligence. He will likely stay for another 2-4 years particularly if he feels he is being appreciated by the administration and/or fans and/or that his chances of improving the program have plateaued. Hopefully that will mean that the next coach will take over a program with multiple NCAA tournament appearances and, who knows, may be a year when we get to the sweet 16 or better.
Right now Texas is reasonably satisfied with Shaka Smart who got them to the Big Dance this year. Texas the is the quintessential 'football' school. They will be more patient with the BB coach than a football coach. As long as Shaka's teams continue to show some further progress without recruiting violations they will be satisfied; so, Buzz isn't going there for a while at least. As long as Billy Kennedy can hang in there at A&M that job is out of reach.
The long and the short of it is Whit needs to continue to show Buzz the love, the fans showing up in the seats need to continue to grow and the team needs to continue to make steady progress. If these three things happen we can keep Buzz a few more years.
