Well this excerpt really stinks
"A study of the people of Yanomami village in the Amazon, who had "no documented previous contact with Western people" found their skin, mouths, and feces hosted the richest complement of bacteria in any human population examined until that point — a complement that included antibiotic-resistant species, despite no known contact with antibiotics."
Yeah, No. The bacteria in that village have seen plenty of antibiotics, you know why, because the antiobiotic resistance genes exist in bacterial populations because we derive our antibiotics from microgoransims which use them to gain competitive advantages iwthin their niche. They may not see purified pharmaceutical antibiotics ingested by the humans, but they exist in nature.
