Big Weekend for Commonwealth Clash

We currently have a two point lead with six events left. Four of these events are this weekend:

1) The biggest lacrosse game in program history is on Saturday. There are 2 major polls and we lead in one (#13 to #17) and trail in the other (#12 to #14). The results for both teams against the other conference teams are exactly the same. A win would give us a slightly more favorable match-up in the conference tournament (Duke as opposed to ND). We should be in the NCAAs for the first time EVER but a win would eliminate any chance of not making it. Go support the team at 1pm. Crowd support can make a difference in games like this.
2) Men's Tennis is Sunday at 1pm. This is close to a toss-up with VT ranked at #37 and UVa at #43. The key to the match should be at #1 singles where VT's Mitch Harper (ranked #37) will match-up with one of UVa's top guys (ranked #27 or #32). Harper has been the key in our current four match ACC winning streak with wins in each match, three of which we won by a score of 4-3. UVa will be higher ranked at #2 singles (we have no other ranked players) and they will also be favored in doubles since they have two teams ranked higher than our top team. We have little room for error. For those of you who don't follow tennis, each of six singles matches is worth 1 point. There are three doubles matches with one point going to the team that wins at least two of the matches. If you have some free time on Sunday, go support the team.
3) Men's Golf is a three round affair at the ACC Championship from Friday thru Sunday. We are not in good shape here with UVa ranked #53 by Golfstat with VT at #94. We weren't close when we both played in a tournament earlier in the Spring. There should be enough strong teams to keep UVa from winning the championship (important for Clash tiebreaker).
4) Women's Golf is also a three round affair but runs Saturday thru Monday. We have more of a chance with UVa at #33 and VT at #56. Again there should be enough strong teams to keep UVa from winning the championship.

Go Hokies! Let's build a winning streak in the Commonwealth Clash. One win this weekend would be good, two would be great.
