Unfortunately, MLB probably won't clarify it until after it happens


At least I am not sure any baseball reporter has asked the question yet. If the question was asked, then I haven't found where anyone has mentioned it in an article. Assuming you are correct, then this might be the only way a pitcher can pitch a perfect game and still lose the game.
