I would suppose its all relative. Charlottesville, Richmond, Tidewater and

certainly NOVA are all way higher. Blacksburg is a bit higher than Roanoke. I understand the desire of rural area, but not the avoiding $500.00 (on a $200,000 home) in taxes. Good luck with your search and happiness.
