However, the #1 thing I look for when I look at RBs is their first two steps. How much burst do we see in those steps? Watch Ronald Jones for USC for instance. Two steps and that kid is at FULL SPEED. Ford has a relatively decent two step burst, but it doesn't stand out from other high caliber RBs. His speed is very good, but not elite.
