my gut tells me there is more of this type thinking in a lot of these mass shootings than people want to believe - particularly reading about the last two school shooting perpetrators. Not in the organized, terrorist sense - but in how a lot of the perpetrators act.

They are often described as "socially awkward" "quite" "kept to himself" etc. these are the exact descriptions of guys that don't date at a normal age and then get progressively more frustrated.

Look at what happens in the alpha male, pack animal world - yeah we've (at least most of us) evolved past that, but the drive to reproduce is strong and affects people in many different ways.
