Basketball should not have to share the stage with Football.

And Baseball should be pushed a month back to have events in June and July, plus to make it easier for northern members to field a team. Baseball should not start in mid-February. Much of the North remains unsuitable until April. They start the year with games in the South. They can continue to do that in March and make it much more attractive.

I've always heard that CBS, who has the rights to the men's basketball tournament doesn't want it to interfere with The Masters, another event CBS has the rights to. But there has to be a way to get around that.
