In terms of cost to recycle for reuse versus new


your percentage might be a little high, but I totally agree with your premise.

Where recycling DOES come into play is saving space in landfills. The NIMBY crowd is getting bigger and only going to get worse.

Now if you recycle the wrong things and it goes into landfill anyway - that's a problem. But any can, glass or item that doesn't degrade in a reasonable amount of time and that doesn't go in the landfill saves lots of space.
