the point of the Conference Networks if they are not about the other sports. Football and basketball will be a minor part of the Conference Networks. The biggest games aren't televised on the Conference Networks. In fact, the least relevant football games are televised on the Conference Networks.

Lastly, all the P5 schools are investing at the highest rate ever in other sports including VT. (New Baseball Stadium etc.) They are doing it because they expect more revenue from the other sports because of TV coverage. College Football has become the giant it is because of TV coverage and more people watching. Think about the 70's-80's and how only a few teams got on TV. Then starting in the 90's many schools got on TV and places like VT could reach the Top 10. The other sports will now have a similar path in the P4 or P5 to expose their schools. Football has probably peaked or at a minimum it will not see huge leaps in growth. I just don't get the premise that more money will be payed from the networks with less schools and therefore less eyeballs. I don't see the math for the networks or the desire to reduce schools from the School Presidents that voted on expansion or contraction, but maybe I am missing something?
