If we could go back in time....

fire Swofford and get a real visionary who had zero ACC roots, #9, 10 and 11 would have been Miami, Tech and WVU. Then #13 and 14 would be Pitt and UConn. At that point, the ACC needed to start a conference network. That would have added 3 land grant universities to the mix versus the lone VT. Then say Wallace Loh still forces UMCP into the B1G, then the ACC coukd add Syracuse. No special deals with ND.

Swofford was willing to pass on Tech for a Miami-BC-SU block. What a narrow-minded fool he was. He was also narrow-minded to pass on WVU and UConn. VT and WVU would have been great for football, mix in the Pitt-WVU rivalry. UConn would have appeased the basketball schools.

But, IIWII today. I can only hope for an ACCExit with Miami, FSU, GT, Clemson, NC State, VT and Pitt leaving to form a new conference to join up with 9 Big XII schools.
