I guess the alumni don't matter? That's a bummer...


If this is true, then that means Sands and the BOV are acting like entitled politicians and not university leaders. And if true, I expect and demand more of them than this; especially since my wife and I are alumni, my son is a student there and my daughter is leaning toward Tech as her college choice. Not to mention my other hard earned money spent on VPI&SU.

When Tech hires any university president, I expect them all to succeed like T. Marshall Hahn. Steger did very well in my book. Both were builders. So, I place high expectations of Sands, and he has a lot to live up to. His tenure is still young... so we'll see where he and the BOV take us.
