I looked into how to add disc brakes. The number one thing you have to


consider is whether the frame can accommodate the actual brakes. Ones that do will have brazing for the brake. If not, the frame's tubing may be thin/weak where the brake is attached to the frame. So, imagine heavy downhill breaking and the stress on the frame where the brake is located.

Also, make sure the frame has enough space to accommodate a hub designed for discs.
