18 years is a long time.

I just want the ACC to have better leadership that will put us in the same ball park (financially) as the SEC and Big 10. The Big 10 had the vision to start a conference sports network and the SEC has a fan base that treats college football as a religion. The ACC has to be more innovative. Replacing John Swofford ASAP with a visionary would be a nice start.

Only the good Lord knows if I'll be around in 18 years. In 2036, I probably won't care what conference Tech is in. I'll be spending most of my time looking for my lost keys that I put in the refrigerator. You're correct that Tech is in the ACC for 18 years (maybe longer). I just hope that ESPN doesn't continue to turn viewers away and goes back to covering the games and not trying to enlighten us socially or politically. ESPN was once my favorite network. Now I only watch it when Tech is playing football and basketball. I haven't watched ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU since March. I did watch some softball. lacrosse, and baseball games on ESPN3. IMHO, the ACCN will be more successful if they just cover the games and stay away from social commentary.
