Once again, it is a choice. I am no fan of the NCAA


or them getting anything from the process as they have been corrupted from within and without but the remainder of those mentioned have actual skin in the game.
The coaches have built careers over a period of years and just like any profession, the compensation is what the system will bear. The vast majority played football without compensation and went on to build a successful career after they exited school. They sacrifice a tremendous amount of time away from their families and other interests so I have no qualms with them getting what they can get as a salary.
The institutions have tremendous costs associated with running the entire athletics department. There are facilities, staff, media expenditures, and various other expenses that they invest in for the returns they get. The market will eventually cap the expenditures when the profits cease.
If the players do not agree with the rules, they are under no obligation to subject themselves to the "unfair" return on their "investment". They can pay like a normal student, or there are always menial jobs out there they can settle for where the education is not required.
