8 ACC teams are ranked in the preseason Top 29...

ACC is still one of the toughest women's soccer conferences. The SEC has been making improvements the past 4-5 years (probably because of the SEC Network money and exposure).

We couldn't score goals last season. We had some injuries to deal with. Chugger added some offensive power this season but we just don't know what we have with our freshmen until they hit the field. Defensively, we'll be as good as any ACC team not ranked in the top 10. Mandy McGlynn, our 1st team All-ACC GK, won't be on the team until the 4-5th game because of her obligations to USA Soccer U-20 FIFA team. I think I saw freshman Nicole Kozlova wearing a boot in one of the practice photos.
