Paul Johnson's lukewarm extension was not a good thing
It was more of a realization that with his contract nearing completion, they needed to do SOMETHING since they brought him back. But let's not forget that they have missed a bowl in two of the last three seasons.... After having a very long streak of making one each year. 6-6 or worse and this could be it.
I agree that it's unlikely that Petrino, Narduzzi, and Doreen go for the reasons you list. But if Louisville goes 7-5, they may decide to wash their hands of his association with the program (they underachieved on the Lamar Jackson era let's not forget). Doeren has had time and a 7-5 type season won't go over well. Narduzzi is a clown and while they need stability, a tough season, a tough personality combined with having been given four years might prompt their admin to move on.
Fedora is likely gone. But I foresee lots of opportunity for movement. And I think Johnson is gone this year or next.
