San Diego was the better team in the first half. I'm glad that Mandy McGlynn came back early to play goal because IMHO, our other GKs would've given up at least 2 goals in the 1st half. I think we played much better in the 2nd half. Our chemistry and communication needs a lot of work, especially offensively, but it is only the first regular season game. I noticed that we started 4 true freshmen and played a total of 7 freshmen tonight. Chugger needs to find more ways of getting Emily Gray in front of the net. I was impressed with her speed and endurance. McCarter also impressed me.
