Their actual press release threw us under the bus twice

First, they said they weren’t traveling. Not that the game was canceled. The only inference is that we wanted to play it and they didn’t.

Secondly, they said they hoped it could be played later. Like we didn’t. Not that we would work together to discuss rescheduling.

For a press release, it was snarky as hell.
