If they had said, "Look, we can't ask our kids to be preparing for a football game and playing while this thing is hitting our hometown on Thurs/Fri/Saturday. It's not a matter of travel, it's a matter of emotional well being. While these kids are stressed about their hometown being blown away and family members in distress, it's not fair to make them try to play football."

But they didn't say that. They made it about travel, which now looks ridiculous. And they made the decision too early, which now looks ridiculous because they aren't in the eye anymore.

Which is exactly why we told them to wait.
