No, I really think the idea is more along the "nose of the camel" concept.


According to the HOF players, it should only cost about $4M to fund benefits etc... for the HOF players. So, the NFL doesn't have any excuses not to offer the benefits. Then once the thing is setup, they are going to push for all players to begin being taken care of after the retire from the game.
