Clemson and FSU would be part of the decision.

They are less concerned about northeastern teams now than 6 years ago. They were concerned that adding Syracuse and Pittsburgh were adding basketball schools. Well Clemson has now lost to both of them in football, and Florida State was crushed in the Carrier Dome 5 days ago.

Those two would continue to do what they've been doing. Keep the ACC schedule at 8 games, and schedule SEC matchups out of conference. They both play their instate SEC rival every year. Clemson just finished a home and home with Auburn. They're in one now with Texas A&M, and have one with Georgia after that.

To do this Notre Dame would have to become a conference game, and then each would just play the 8 game schedule. Neither want to play a full SEC schedule. They like the ACC schedule, and they mix in SEC games. It makes it easier to get to the playoffs.

Clemson can't be too opposed to UConn. They are playing UConn in 2021. There are people here that think the ACC lost a lot with Maryland. Temple just crushed Maryland in College Park 5 days ago. Would that cause the Big Ten to lose its P5 status?

I'm just saying that the ACC wants to be the conference in the east. It can't do that with a gaping geographic hole in Philadelphia and limited presence in the NY tristate area.
