Mayfield got very lucky, but no doubt he looks really good for 1st start

Mayfield nearly threw a few interceptions and I believe he had a fumble that was recovered. That's pretty bad for just a half of football. He also benefited from better protection (although he had really good pocket presence) and the running backs performed better. He also suffered a few receiver drops. That said, Mayfield took chances and brought an energy that I've never seen Tyrod bring. Tyrod is a calm/cool quarterback who is super conservative which might drain the energy of his offensive teammates as they know they won't have a chance to make a play unless they are very open.
