When Coach Beamer was the HC, I had hoped VT could take the next step under him. Well it didn't completely go according to plan and I was disappointed that Beamer didn't get to experience that reward like what Bowden experienced at FSU. As a result it also influenced me to view the "reality" of college football differently. Regardless of who the HC is of the program, I will always hope that VT can take that next step until the day I die. If it doesn't happen under Coach Fuente, with or without Foster at DC, or whatever HC follows Coach Fuente, I will be disappointed. However, the level of disappointment won't be as much as it was with Beamer because he built the VT brand.
