Intermat is pretty good
Most of the rankings are pretty similar until you get to the bottom 15 or so. I think Intermat sticks to the what are you doing right now philosophy and will quickly drop guys who hit a rut where Flo let’s guys hang around based on past success. Either way by the end of the year both rankings are pretty close to the final results. It’s rare that you find a guy in their rankings not in the NCAA tournament.
The one thing I knock rankings for that I think the coaches ranking must take into consideration is strength of competition and how close losses were. My only basis on this is the Kyle Norstrem hung in the coaches rankings all year and had a very grueling schedule and while he lost a lot he kept matches close with top competition.
