I agree, but we know a lot more now than we did after JMU

After JMU, the season was still very young. Right now, we've looked like complete crap in two games. People were excited after the Florida State game, but it turns out the Noles are lousy and might not make a bowl. We looked crisp against William and Mary... but W&M has made a lot of FCS look crisp this year... they aren't very good even for their level.... they're likely going to finish 3-7 or 4-6 (the Elon game was cancelled giving them a 10 game schedule).

Then there was the ODU game where a lot of our weaknesses came to light (and some of the signs were even present against the Tribe). We played well against Duke and in the first half against ND... but the wheels came off.

We played like crap against the Heels. Play like that from here on out, we'll lose all five remaining games. There's hope that maybe the guys found a spark, they'll play better... and if they do, they could finish 4-1 or so. But there are some personnel limitations on this team that aren't going to be fixed this year (the CBs aren't going to get but so much better, we're still really thin at DT, and our LBs are all about a year away from being "ready").

The year we lost to JMU, we had the personnel.. we just encountered the perfect storm for one game.
