It was in a Courtyard Marriott. Had no idea who he was, but figured he must have been an entertainer of some sort. This Courtyard had a bar. That evening it was packed with a bunch of dolled-up 40-something women. Asked the bartender if it was always like this. He said normally there was hardly anybody in the bar but there was a Rick Springfield concert across the street later that night. I looked him up online to see a present day image and sure enough, that was the guy.
