okay, not to rub vinegar into the wounds here, but I just learned today quite a bit about Conference USA with some serious eye-openers. One of my kids' friends is at F I U, and I just learned yesterday how well F I U is doing within their conference, like the first time in forever I think. I don't keep up with Conf USA at all. But then I learned this is the conference Old Dominion is in.
So I figured ODU would be kicking ass in the conference, but they're a bottom-feeder. It was a WTF moment for me, because I haven't been following VT closely, just glimpses, whatever I see on the instant replays that the networks throw in from time to time. But in spite of VT's record, I still see them as winning the Pitt and UVA games. If you think I should really take these thoughts to the football board, I will.

You know they eat me alive over there.
