The Rutgers perception is based on their record.


The 26% winning percentage in events against Big Ten Opponents in all sports and the 44% winning percentage in the Big East tell the story. And you can go back 40 years before that and not get much better if at all.

You have to hunt really hard to find something good to say. Yes women's soccer made the 64 team field in the NCAA tournament. Ok. Probably lost in round 1.

Can Big Ten money change this? Maybe. But given the long history of consistency, probably not.

Pitt came into the ACC with only football and basketball doing well. Their Olympic Sports were terrible. They are improving now. Georgia Tech used to do pretty well in Directors Cup. They have now fired the AD and hopefully will correct back to where they were.
