My point is that in the past, we've had a different redshirt programs for marquee non-freshmen such as Carter and Brascetta, The goal is to get him in front of quality competition, which the Scuffle has, but other opens (such as the purple raider open) don't. Carter actually trained with other RTCs and there was talk of him training in Russia (I don't think he actually did). Honestly there's very little for Bolen to prove in the Storm or GMU Open and wrestling there probably doesn't improve his skills. Perhaps, this is a question for the next podcast "How do you approach redshirt a veteran upperclassman like Bolen, differently from redshirting a freshman?
