Joined with a bike advocacy group to ask for money for Howard County bikepaths before the new upset elected County Executive. By far the largest group there, we were told to bring our bike helmets to identify us although that seemed a little dorky, either that or we came across as the only advocacy group with its own Imperial Storm Troopers. Yep, we were clearly the crazies in the audience. Not that I had anything to do with it, but pretty well organized, even had the HoCo NAACP guy speak for us. When done we all got up and left (I stayed a while) and Mr Ball sez "goodbye bike people" kinda funny.

Walked down into Ellicott City which you may remember has a penchant for making the national news by having microburst flooding. Main street looked pretty normal - except not a whole lot of people on a Wednesday night. The area where I was parked was separated by a channel, wasn't quite sure what they were doing, but they did have a stream going through a12 - 15' galvanized steel culvert and some construction equipment. As I said, the town was dead though except for the "Judge's Bench" bar.
