Ever a good idea to use borrowed money to invest in the stock market?


I certainly know the history of the '29 crash and the Great Depression. But say you've got 10K from your home equity loan. Pros and cons of investing that cash in some well chosen stocks? With the interest on the loan and the taxes, are you guaranteed to lose money?
