then P5 coaches may have less confidence that he could develop into a feature back against P5 competition. So if the P5 coaches see him as being nothing more than a role player, then there is no reason to use their resources (i.e. time and money) pursuing him now (early in the recruiting process) when they could spend their resources focusing on more important targets. Now that isn't to say he couldn't become a feature back at a G5 or DI-FCS school. Hence why 1 G5 and 1 quasi G5 program have shown interest in him.
